Hunting Fishing Report

Fish this weekend were In 80ft of water, close to bottom. Best catches came on Green Dolphin spoons fished behind riggers and a full copper wire
setup.

With the onset of the cold weather lakes are froze over, but many are not fishable yet. It won't be long as long as we don't see extended periods of above freezing temps and rain. We'll keep you posted as there are fishable lakes north of Grand Rapids. Some lakes have 4 inches in the Newaygo area and north, and fishing has been reported as excellent.

Deer are on the move and have settled down from the Firearm season, they are herding up, and can be found around leftover food crops. Remaining Corn and bean fields are great producers. Many bean fields have leftover beans remaining on the ground, and are a hot source for deer activity.
Don't rule out Mid Afternoon hunts as Daytime activity can be high.
Many areas have excellent Acorn crops this fall, these are also top producers. Look for areas where leaves and snow have been scratched away.
